Hey Kendal -

Good post and I look forward to seeing the interviews and the final slate. Good group of folks running this year. I was actually -this- close to being in the running also. I had completed my app, secured references and was about to submit when I thought more about it and what I wanted to try and accomplish and a friend in the SQL community asked me a really good question "Why do you need to be on the board to accomplish what you want?". That question and a look at my schedule this coming year made me decide against it :-)

In that same way though - I am curious what you want to do. Your paragraph on why you were running just talked about "giving back", which is noble. What do you want to accomplish, though? What do you want to see changed? How do you plan on doing that?

I'm not giving you the third degree and if I am jumping the gun then I'll wait for the interview :-)

Good luck and I'm excited that you are one of the candidates. You are a community person, a humble person and one who seems motivated by making everyone else better. All great traits for the PASS BoD.
