Notes from SQLSaturday #3 - Jacksonville

I gave a presentation about XML Features in SQL 2005 at SQLSaturday #3 held on May 3 in Jacksonville, FL. I had one of the smaller classrooms that held around 30 people and it looked like it was at least 3/4 full. I'd say my session went well - I received a lot of good questions and a few follow-up emails asking for copies of the presentation.

SQLSaturday is a free one day training event started by Andy Warren and supported by local user groups. There have been some great talent at these events ranging from locals like me to MVPs and well known folks like Joe Celko. So far the events have been limited to the central\north Florida area but interest is building and hopefully events will start happening in other regions.

I'm giving the same presentation for SQLSaturday #4 which is scheduled for June 7-8 in Orlando as part of a "tweener" weekend in the middle of Microsoft Tech·Ed 2008. About Me

I'm Kendal Van Dyke and I'm currently a Senior DBA at Channel Intelligence in Celebration, FL. During the last 8 1/2 years I've worked as a SQL Server developer and DBA on systems large and small and along the way have picked up some pretty useful things about SQL Server, Windows, and networking. I started this blog to share what I've learned with the SQL community (and write all this stuff down somewhere in case I forget it one day!).
